Star Card

I had a little play time last night so I made this card....finished it up this morning!
I love everything about it....the shape and the simplicity of creating it.
The paper I used is from an old K & Co. stack...I don't have the name off hand...it was one of my first paper stacks that I purchased and I only have a few sheets left.
The inside had plenty of room for stamping too.
This card has so many possibilities to it....you can use a plain sheet of paper and add layers using other D.P.

Happy Wednesday♥
Noel

PS I forgot to mention that the stamp I used was from Verve Stamps....they are one of the best line of stamps.

Altered Caddy

This is a wood caddy I picked up at a thrift sale last weekend.
It's small enough to sit on my desk without taking up so much room.

I like the division inside...this way everything isn't falling all over and clumped together.
The paper I used is from DCWV "The Garden Tea Party" stack....great papers in this group.
I kept the embellishments simple on the larger side so I wouldn't destroy them when I turn it.
The smaller sides are some what receded so they don't stick out so much. I kept them simple also, I used a piece of Recollections bling in one corner, two brown skeleton leaves behind a satin beaded flower from my wedding veil.
What's old is new again.♥
I then glues flat back pearls all around the edges and the top handle.
One side holds some of my scissors I use often.

The other side holds my tools that I use often too!
It measures 7"x6" and 6" tall.
Not bad for a $1.00!

Swap Mini Album

Thought I'd share the mini album I received from a swap that I was in on FaceBook.
Sorry for the black dot on the left but I'm still using my pirate camera...lol!
This camera still takes the best pictures!
The mini is created using only one sheet of 12x12 double sided paper.
The way you score, cut and fold is how you make the four pocket mini.
It's quite simple...but as always it's the embellishing that takes the most time.
My partner Deb, did a great job on the mini and all the wonderful tags inside.

I'll post pics of the one I made as soon as she receives hers. We mailed them the same day but she hasn't received hers yet. I stuffed the envelope full of goodies so I hope she receives.....probably shouldn't have done that seeing it was going to British Columbia....I just hate to think that someone would take the package but I hear it all the time when I go to the post office of packages being lost for no apparent reason even when there's tracking on it.

Amazing Artist...

This guy played the whole time we were there...we thought it was a recording coming from inside the stadium but until we were going to leave and decided to go down this last row of vendors did we realize it was live music....

Crusin the neighborhood

Hubby and I went for a ride in Pasadena after the Flea Market and came across this house....check out the windows. Looks like they may have some unwanted guests or are they...:-D

We also came across this fab restaurant our friends told us about but we had just eaten that huge burrito.....definitely next time we'll hit this place!

My Mother's Day

Hubby and I spent the day at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena CA....we had so much fun it was our first time going.....we've lived here 14 years and we never went before....better late than never and it won't be our last I can say that.
It started as an overcast day but it didn't last once the sun came out I sure got burnt1
 Hubby found an new friend!
This would be nice in my living room as a foot rest/coffee table...love the Paris fabric!
There were sooooo many great cloths booths but this one just caught my eye...these dresses and hats would look beautiful on my three granddaughters.
This one gave us an idea for a porch bench.
 I like this banner...."Junk Gypsyz"
Purple is my favorite color and on a chandelier, well that's just a bonus...this quaint little light would be perfect for my art room or my bathroom!
The smell from these spices and teas were so intoxicating...I had to walk by a couple of times.
Here's hubby enjoying his breakfast burrito in his new stylin hat....thank you sweetie for a perfect day.♥♥♥

New card

Here is a card I made for a friend but using my old pirate camera...the one with the black spot! This camera is still my favorite digital and still takes the best pictures...beats the new Nikon Coolpix one that stinks!
Too bad the camera operator can't keep her hands still while taking the picture....lol!
Anyways this card went in a swap that went out on Friday and I'll post those pictures as soon as my partner receives her package.

Lots of commotion.....

Ok, so I'm sitting relaxing after dinner last night when all of a sudden I hear this big crash and a thud....it made me jump out of my seat...I'm looking out the kitchen window then the craft room window and then I hear another loud commotion....so I go to the front door and hear all this thud, thud....I go outside and what do I see on the roof.........

These two....he was following her around the whole time trying to keep his distance all the while she is squawking and walking all over.
They kept going from our roof to the neighbors roof and finally just flew away.

Days gone by....

Hubby's on a new schedule supposedly for a month....it's nice that he'll be on a set schedule for that period of time but I have to adjust my routine to fit this schedule......lol!
It's nice I get to have dinner with him more often but that means I have to COOK more...lucky hubby likes what ever I make so that's a good thing.
We've been busy getting things done in the house and in the yard so we can enjoy summer freedom.
Life is GOOD!!!
